Since relocating to Seattle JB has followed his musical journey and recently landed JB AND GROOVE FIERY. A calabash of musicians bringing their experiences from a variety of genres and adapting to JB’s unique musical arrangements and rhythms, with the infectious blend of roots reggae,rude-boy/ragga,dancehall,lovers rock with a dash of humor poured over JB’s energetic stage presence is one performance you dont want to miss. Faimkills - M.O. (produced by Curtiss King off of my recent mixtape entitled “A Thought-Ghetto Messtape)

Hip Hop/Indie/Rap
San Bernadino I.E.

Been rapping since I was 11, I grew up on the Golden Era of Hip Hop (I.E. Pac, Big, Jay-Z, OutKast, Nas, Wu-Tang, Tribe).  I was all about emulating my favorite rappers and went to great lengths to get my favorite rap tapes and cds (because my parents wouldn’t let me buy the parental advisory stuff).  In high school I was into 50, Eminem, and the Clipse then got into more “conscious” rap like Talib Kweli, Mos Def, and The Roots, this is where I began developing my skills more. In college my girlfriend introduced me to the world of the underground/indie rap scene where I got heavily influenced by acts like BusDriver, Atmosphere, Murs, Sage Francis, El-P, Company Flow, Aesop Rock, etc.  Amongst all of this I got into tons of different music and I am heavily influence by post-hardcore/experimental/folk/indie music and punk-aesthetics in theory.
I graduated with a degree in English from the University of California, Riverside, which makes me look at my approach to Hip-Hop and song-writing very critically, I attempt to apply transdisciplines of art, film, pop-culture references, literature, poetry, creative writing intertwined with Hip-Hop styles, and great song-writing with outside influences from Jesse Lacey of Brand New, Tim Kasher of Cursive, and Morrissey to name a few. Quickly, the name Faimkills simply means that I feel fame and America’s celebrity obsession deplete the greatness of art because we put emphasis on the artist and not the art itself. Also fame has been the underlying cause for the deaths of some of the greatest minds, be it presidents, rappers, musicians, artists, actors.

Interesting tidbit: When I first hit you guys up I was a bit ill-prepared to send something when I found out that you honestly critique the music you play. However, having finished my mixtape and finding out more about myself as an artist, I am ready for that sort of thing.  I have sent you one of the songs from my mixtape that has been getting pretty decent attention from everyone I show locally, and even got some podcast play on soprupradio.com.  I split my time playing guitar for a band called Spirit Fangs.

Realms - See through to you

Hip Hop/Rap
Plattekill, NY

I’m 19 years old & ive been writing music ever since i was 13 but never got the chance to do serious recording until summer 08. Currently making music from my house & working very hard to stay in everyones ear. Just placed my Acknowledge Me Volume.1 Mixtape up for free download on Datpiff.com. i think the thing i would love the most is performing in front of a large audience that came just to see me and knows the words to my song. it just seems like it would be an amazing feeling.

Enough Said - Prevail

Hardcore
Antwerp, Belgium

It all started in March 2007: Joeri, Woost, Jos & Jakke wanted to make fast oldschool hardcore with beatdown parts. NO solo’s that go on and on, NO boring metalriffs and absolutely NO songs that don’t seem to end! Just the hard “in your fucking face” hardcore, the way it should be… We wrote songs and did shows. In April 2008, Jakke decided to leave the band. Good riddance, we hated him anyway. We found a new bassplayer in Niels and a second guitarplayer in Ben, we recorded our MCD ‘One Step Ahead with these guys, but they both quit not so long ago and now we’re working with a new bassplayer, Matthijs, writing new stuff and playing shows.

To know who J is and where he wants to go, here is a bit of where INVISIBLE J is coming from. Born 1985 in Kingston Jamaica, J has always been influenced by music as he grew up. At the tender age of 14 J made the decision of taking music as a full time job and he went on to persue his Blessing of becoming a Reggae Artist. INVISIBLE J is an artist that writes and sings his own lyrics. In 2003, Invisible J recorded his first single titled “Girls Plenty” on the Mixx Breed riddim featuring veteran reggae artist (D.J) Major Mackrell, the track was recorded at a Foundation Studio in Brooklyn N.Y (E2 Recordings) and also engineered and mixed by Ed Robinson . He is currently hitting the studios and writing music daily. So listen out for this young promising reggae artist. Invisible J’s music is in a catagorie all by its self something he would call culture/dancehall.He is one of the most ambitious artist that you will find in the music industry. J is an incredable recording artist, but he is an equally amazing performing artist, not only is he hot, he is always on fire. And that just about sums up INVISIBLE J!
