Pippin and his Online Jam Band - Zeitgeist (Stage 3)

Pippin and his Online Jam Band is the first online communal jam band.  It allows artists from all over the world to create music together under one band name.  Basically what we do is create a full song containing only one instrument (e.g a drum track or a bass line), we then post it up on our site and ask artists around the globe to add one instrument/sound at a time until a track is completed.  We also ask artists to remix these tracks as they progress in order to create more variety and diversity.  The track submitted to your show is called Zeitgeist which is the third song to be created by our online jam band. (Drums - Chris Krawall - Germany, Bass - David  O’Dwyer - UK - Guitars Martin Riopel Canada.  This track is still open for jammin’ so if you guys at the nobody cares show want to add a vocal on your show feel free!

New Day Mile - Between The Guns

New Day Mile recorded their “Damn Strate” CD, with acclaimed engineer and producer Alan Sanderson (Elvis Costello, Rolling Stones, etc, etc) and shortly thereafter the band were invited to play the VIPER ROOM by Metal Sanaz.  In June 2009, The Mile opened up for Texas prog legends KINGS X to a packed house at BRICK by BRICK in San Diego, CA. The following month brought the band a San Diego Music Award Nomination for the Damn Strate CD. The band celebrated with a show at HOUSE OF BLUES for all their fans, friends and family. Currently NDM are in pre production for their follow up to “Damn Strate” for a 2010 release!

Vinyl Dial - The Flight of the Crown Hawk

Vinyl Dial is a Progressive Rock act (self proclaimed ìNeo Progressive Psychedelic Avian Space Rockî) from Bedfordshire, UK formed in 1979. The original, unchanged lineup consists of Burleigh Rab (Lead guitarist, vocalist and songwriter), Mungo Waldorf (rhythm and lead guitarist, backing vocalist) , Bryne Shure (keyboardist, effects and backing vocalist), Jeremy Verdict PhD (drums and backing vocalist) and Richard ìPopî Robjohns (bassist).

The band split in 1983 after an extremely lengthy tour, which not only meant a long time away from home for the young musicians, but it was impractical for them to continue due to logistic problems of their university lives. The prog rock quintet reformed in January 2009 and despite the 26 year split, the band, now into their forties, continue to write music and perform gigs.

When The Flight of the Crown Hawk album is released, we will be playing in various clubs around East Anglia, but it’s not set in stone yet.  Additional information about Vinyl Dial, including current releases, can be found on their official MySpace page.
